Kamiah gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They secured an 18-14 W over the Council Lumberjacks. The victory continues a trend for the Kubs in their matchups with the Lumberjacks: they've now won four in a row.

Leading Kamiah to victory were Everett Oatman and Lawson Landmark. Oatman gained 157 total yards and two touchdowns, while Landmark threw for 210 yards and one TD. Oatman was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards.

Kamiah's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Council, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Kamiah will be playing in front of their home fans against Logos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Kubs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Council, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Crane at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th.
