Softball Recap: Lathrop Comes Up Short

If Lathrop was riding high fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Johansen last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lathrop lost 19-6 to the Livingston Wolves on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost three in a row.

Lathrop's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Livingston, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Lathrop will head out on the road to take on Central Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Valley's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Lathrop's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Livingston, they will take on Reed in a tournament on Friday.
