Football Recap: Corona Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Aliso Niguel, Corona was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They secured a 13-7 W over the Colony Titans. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Panthers were the (much) better team in the second half.

Arlene Cabrera threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Isabella Acosta was her top target, picking up 71 receiving yards.

Corona's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Colony, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Corona will take on rival Murrieta Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Colony is set to challenge their familiar foe Jurupa Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
