Football Recap: Upland's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Upland fell victim to Canyon and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 12-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comanches. The match marked the first time this year in which the Highlanders/Scots were not able to get on the board.

Rebecca Ewing threw for 156 yards on 14 of 30 attempts.

The critical scores for Canyon came from Remington Glenn and Sophie Punsalang.

Having lost for the first time this season, Upland fell to 5-1. As for Canyon, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Coming up, Upland will challenge Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Highlanders/Scots are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Canyon, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-7 loss against Woodbridge on the 18th.
