It was a good run, but Seabreeze unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spruce Creek Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

Wrigley Zweifel was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Seabreeze's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Spruce Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.

Seabreeze and Spruce Creek should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Sandcrabs (ranked 191st) will meet Matanzas (ranked 520th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Spruce Creek will take on Olympia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (7 vs. 116).
