Baseball Game Preview: New Dorp Central Cougars vs. Fort Hamilton Tigers

The New Dorp Central Cougars will face off against the Fort Hamilton Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in New Dorp's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Fort Hamilton has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

While New Dorp didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Van Arsdale 12-1 on Saturday. The Central Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Fort Hamilton lost 17-4 to Brooklyn Technical on Monday.

August Porter was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Aiden Porter, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

New Dorp's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Fort Hamilton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7-1.
