Basketball Recap: Flowing Wells Takes a Loss

Flowing Wells was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 68-41 loss at the hands of the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks. While losing is never fun, the Caballeros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Nighthawks are ranked 118th).

Carter Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ironwood Ridge, putting up 11 points and four steals. Brown is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Lucas Anderson was another key player, posting 12 points.

Flowing Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Ironwood Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Flowing Wells wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-40 win against Santa Rita on the 19th. As for Ironwood Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-51 loss against Palo Verde on the 19th.
