Soccer Recap: Smithville Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

While Smithville's win against Harrisonville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors' defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. Smithville haven't had any issues with Harrisonville recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Smithville's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those four matches. As for Harrisonville, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.

Smithville wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Pleasant Hill on the 24th. Harrisonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
