Old Lyme came tearing into Wednesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the North Branford Thunderbirds with points to spare, taking the game 55-36. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 73-50 back in January.

Old Lyme pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for North Branford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
