After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Strafford, Licking was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Steelville Cardinals. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Licking had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-26, 25-16, 25-17, 25-22.

Licking's win bumped their record up to 7-12-4. As for Steelville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Licking will venture away from home to face off against Sullivan at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Steelville, they will head out to take on Cuba at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
