Baseball Recap: Tuckahoe Comes Up Short

Tuckahoe fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Valhalla on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 4-2. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tuckahoe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Brice, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. Brice has become a key player for the Tigers: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-5 otherwise.

Tuckahoe's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Valhalla, they moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Tuckahoe will face off against Edgemont at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Valhalla, they will be playing at home against Blind Brook at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
