Soccer Recap: Forge Christian Takes a Loss

Forge Christian lost against Denver Christian back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fury fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 2-1. Jayden Howell was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Forge Christian's goal came courtesy of Brendan Bartels, which was the first he's scored this season.

Forge Christian's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-2 and their overall record down to 5-2-3. As for Denver Christian, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Looking ahead, Forge Christian is taking a road trip to square off against Stargate School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stargate School's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Denver Christian, they will be playing at home against Peak to Peak at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
