Softball Game Preview: Carver A&T Wildcats vs. Sparrows Point Pointers

The Carver A&T Wildcats are headed away from home for the first time to take on the Sparrows Point Pointers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Carver A&T barely beat Dundalk the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats never let the Owls get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Owls: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Sparrows Point posted their closest victory since April 24, 2025 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 14-13 win over Dundalk.

Alexa Bienkowski was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Meurer, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Carver A&T suffered a grim 17-4 defeat to Sparrows Point in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
