Volleyball Recap: Plainville Comes Up Short

Plainville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the East Catholic Eagles, falling 3-0. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

While Plainville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-10.

Olivia Carter paced Plainville's offense, picking up ten kills. Carter were helped by Kaitlyn Landry and Mia Palia, who contributed seven assists each. Palia was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Plainville's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for East Catholic, with the victory, they broke their six-match losing streak and moved their record to 5-8.

As of now, neither Plainville nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
