Volleyball Recap: Jordan's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After a string of three wins, Jordan's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to the Brighton Bengals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bengals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Friday.

While Jordan had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 21-25, 25-19.

Thys Oppermann paced Jordan's offense, picking up nine kills. Oppermann got some help from Shaun White and his 20 assists. White was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Jordan's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Brighton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Coming up, Jordan will head out to take on Cottonwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brighton, they will challenge West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
