The Georgetown Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Loris Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Loris took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Georgetown, who comes in off a win.
Georgetown gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Marlboro County as they made off with a 13-5 victory. Georgetown might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.
Kylah Jordan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Imari Jordan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Satcher Felts was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Jordan wasn't the only one making solid contact: Georgetown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Loris came up short against Aynor on Tuesday and fell 6-2. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Blue Jackets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
Loris saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caitie Black, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Georgetown's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Loris, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Georgetown hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Loris struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Georgetown couldn't quite get it done against Loris when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 11-7. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
