Lake Park waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Prospect Knights a 6-0 shutout. Considering the Lancers have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Gianna Furlano, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Prospect off the board. Furlano has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ariana O'Connell was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Gaetana Calo, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Lake Park's record is now 16-5. As for Prospect, they dropped their record down to 19-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
