Basketball Recap: Perry Central Find Success

There's no place like home for Perry Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They pulled ahead with a 58-57 photo finish over the South Central Rebels on Saturday. While the Commodores didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Perry Central's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for South Central, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry Central will take on Springs Valley in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Central and Christian Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
