Baseball Recap: Octorara Area Has No Trouble Against Solanco

Octorara Area never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Solanco Golden Mules. Considering the Braves have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Aidan Marsh, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Naggy, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Octorara Area hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Solanco struck out seven times.

Octorara Area has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Solanco fell to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Octorara Area will face off against Donegal at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Solanco, they will venture away from home to square off against Garden Spot at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
