Volleyball Game Preview: Orion Chargers vs. Brimfield Indians

The Orion Chargers will take on the Brimfield Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Orion sitting on four straight wins and Brimfield on five.

Orion is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Putnam County 2-1.

Orion was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-11, 25-10.

Delaney Tapscott had an outrageously good game as she had 20 digs and two assists. Those 20 digs gave her a new career-high.

Orion was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They are a perfect 9-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, Brimfield earned a 2-0 victory over Cuba/Spoon River Valley on Thursday.

Orion's record now sits at 22-15. As for Brimfield, their record is now 22-7.

Orion was able to grind out a solid win over Brimfield when the teams last played back in October of 2019, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
