Basketball Recap: Aurora Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Aurora Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the Providence Catholic Celtics 63-32. The Chargers were not able to make up for their loss to the Celtics from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Aurora Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-24. As for Providence Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 9-18.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aurora Central Catholic will head out to challenge St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Providence Catholic, they will face off against Southland College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Southland College Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
