Soccer Game Preview: Christ's Church Academy vs. Hilliard

The Christ's Church Academy Eagles will face off against the Hilliard Red Flashes at 7:20 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Christ's Church Academy and six for Hilliard.

Last Tuesday, Christ's Church Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Yulee and fell 2-1. River Turlington was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Christ's Church Academy's goal came courtesy of Caleb Zeigler, who's now up to 11 this season.

Meanwhile, Hilliard scored the most goals they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 5-1 to Fernandina Beach. While losing is never fun, the Red Flashes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 582nd, while the Pirates are ranked 221st).

Hilliard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Christ's Church Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4-2.
