Preview: Allatoona Buccaneers vs. River Ridge Knights
Allatoona is 5-0 against River Ridge since October of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Allatoona Buccaneers will head out on the road to face off against the River Ridge Knights at 7:30 p.m.
Last Friday, Allatoona ended up a good deal behind Sequoyah and lost 35-17.
Meanwhile, River Ridge's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 31-24 victory over Etowah. The victory was just what River Ridge needed coming off of a 55-0 defeat in their prior matchup.
Grant Hollier was the offensive standout of the contest as he picked up 69 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Sequoyah's victory bumped their season record to 6-3 while Allatoona's defeat dropped theirs to 2-7.
Everything came up roses for Allatoona against River Ridge in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 31-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Allatoona since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
