Soldotna came tearing into Saturday's match with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Kodiak Bears with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on Friday.

Soldotna's got stronger as the match went on, holding Kodiak to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-14.

Gracelyn Altobelli paced Soldotna's offense, picking up eight kills. Altobelli got some help from Teagen Kobylarz and her 22 assists. Altobelli was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Soldotna's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Kodiak, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7-2 record this season.
