Basketball Recap: Donte Lenox Key Part of Team Effort in Bluedevils Win + How To Watch

Fort Lupton won the last time they faced Platte Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bluedevils walked away with a 59-51 victory over the Broncos.

Fort Lupton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donte Lenox, who shot 46% from the field en route to 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Those seven boards gave Lenox a new career-high. Javon Gonzales was another key player, going 9-for-22 on his way to 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Fort Lupton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Platte Valley still got an impressive performance from Rocco Minner, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards. Minner is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played. Kaden Tucker also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Fort Lupton's record now sits at 5-3. As for Platte Valley, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-3.

Fort Lupton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Resurrection Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Platte Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-26 win against Woodland Park on the 20th.
