Basketball Game Preview: Enumclaw Hornets vs. Jefferson Raiders

The Enumclaw Hornets will head out on the road to take on the Jefferson Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Enumclaw was able to grind out a solid victory over Kentlake, taking the game 42-32. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Falcons are ranked 294th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Jefferson had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 50-34 win over the Titans.

Jefferson has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Enumclaw, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-5.

Everything went Enumclaw's way against Jefferson in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Enumclaw made off with a 55-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Enumclaw since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
