Football Recap: Greenfield Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Greenfield and Notre Dame Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Greenfield had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Tritons 77-32. While losing is never fun, the Hustlin' Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Tritons are ranked 13th).

Kingston Allen produced another solid effort rushing for 477 yards and eight touchdowns while picking up 22.7 yards per carry for Notre Dame Academy. Allen really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run.

Greenfield has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Notre Dame Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.

Greenfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Notre Dame Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-42 win against Slinger on the 31st.
