Softball Recap: Armstrong's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

After flying high against Karns City last Monday, Armstrong came back down to earth. The River Hawks took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Penn-Trafford Warriors on Monday. The River Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Armstrong moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Penn-Trafford, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Armstrong will square off against Gateway at 5:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Penn-Trafford, they will face off against McKeesport at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
