Basketball Recap: Easley Comes Up Short

Easley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 46-39 to the Greenville Red Raiders. If the Green Wave were looking for revenge after losing 51-42 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Greenville found their leader in freshman Miracle Cheeks, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 17 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailee Wilson-Drawhorn, who posted five points along with nine boards and three steals.

Easley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Greenville, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Easley has already played their next game, a 51-29 loss against T.L. Hanna on the 17th. As for Greenville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-55 defeat against J.L. Mann on the 17th.
