Basketball Recap: Byers Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Byers unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 49-32 bruising from the Hernando Tigers on Thursday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Byers lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jaylynn Rubbin, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Gatewood, who had eight points.

Coming up, Byers is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against New Albany at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hernando, they will face off against Cleveland Central at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
