Basketball Recap: Ferris Takes a Loss

Ferris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 79-33 loss at the hands of the Godley Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 774th, while the Wildcats are ranked 119th).

Ferris' loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Godley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.

Ferris will challenge Alvarado at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Godley, they will face off against Hillsboro at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
