Football Recap: Preston Takes a Loss

After soaring to 34 points the game before, Preston was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were beaten by the Bridgeport Indians 49-7. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Loss or not, Preston got some senior leadership from Aidan Schmidl and Slaton Manko. Schmidl picked up 165 receiving yards and one score, while Manko threw for 291 yards and one TD. With that strong performance, Schmidl is now averaging an impressive 108.7 receiving yards per game.

Preston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bridgeport, their record is now 8-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Preston will welcome University at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bridgeport, they will host Grafton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
