Softball Recap: Okaw Valley Timberwolves vs. Heyworth Hornets
Okaw Valley had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past the Heyworth Hornets 8-6. The win was just what Okaw Valley needed coming off of an 11-1 loss in their prior matchup.
The team relied heavily on Maleyna Vanausdoll, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenna Phelps, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Okaw Valley's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Heyworth, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
