Trinity Christian Academy had won four straight road games and Owen Atwood did his part to make it five on Friday. The Lions took their game with ease, bagging a 49-14 win over the Fayette Academy Vikings thanks in part to Atwood, who rushed for 81 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 133 yards and one touchdown while completing 83.3% of his passes. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards.

Gabe Lee was another key player, picking up 115 receiving yards and two scores. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Trinity Christian Academy, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Lee, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Trinity Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Fayette Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Trinity Christian Academy and Fayette Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Lions see the field they'll take on Donelson Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Fayette Academy, their break will end when they face Harding Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
