 Fenwick put another one in the bag  on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They had just enough and edged the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack out  6-5. For Fenwick, this counts as revenge for the   12-1 defeat Saint Ignatius College Prep walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in May of 2023.
  Luke Hickey looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (he also only allowed one  walk).
 On the hitting side,  Ryan Lazewski was  excellent,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  RBI and a  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Josh Wicker, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 On Saint Ignatius College Prep's side,  Matthew Richert was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out six batters over  4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   two  hits.
 At the plate,  Jacob Jelinek made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alec Gunderson, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Even though they lost, Saint Ignatius College Prep was hitting in the alleys and  finished the game with four  doubles. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fenwick only hit  no.
 Fenwick's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.7 runs per game. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fenwick will take on Marist at 10:30  a.m.  on Thursday. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, they will play host again  on Saturday to welcome Amundsen, where first pitch is scheduled  at 10:00  a.m. Saint Ignatius College Prep has given up an average of 6.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
