League recap: Forsyth tops Colstrip/Lame Deer to extend winning streak

Southern 3B recap October 1, 2013

Forsyth added to the longest winning streak in Southern 3B this week by beating Colstrip/Lame Deer, 44-6. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Forsyth took down the Colts 44-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Huntley Project's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dallas Mack threw for 115 yards and Michael Jobman had 75 yards receiving. On the ground Tanner Oblender chipped in 79 yards. Oblender helped Huntley Project's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 78 yards.

Oblender provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Red Devils lost to Baker/Plevna. He completed 10 passes for 80 yards and also ran for 79 yards. Oblender's favorite target this week was Jobman, who caught 5 passes for 75 yards.

Jobman made the biggest impact on defense this week as Huntley Project lost to the Spartans. The 6-foot-3 sophomore.

Oblender was the best running back in the league this week. Teammate Chase Mitchell added to the ground attack by rushing for 31 yards.

Huntley Project's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Red Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Oblender has thrown for 422 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Jobman has 17 catches for 267 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Chris Hess' team takes on Shepherd. The Dogies are currently in first, while the Mustangs are in fifth.

Forsyth led Southern 3B in scoring this week by notching 44 points on Colstrip/Lame Deer.
