Softball Recap: Paint Valley Comes Up Short

Paint Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McClain Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 17-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Kyla Littler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Sophia Stauffer, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Paint Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for McClain, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-11.

Paint Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-1 loss against Piketon on the 7th. As for McClain, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-4 defeat against Clinton-Massie on the 7th.
