The Celeste Blue Devils will face off against the North Hopkins Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Celeste's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last nine games.
Celeste is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Campbell a 26-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won five in a row.
Jada Garcia was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, Celeste got a massive performance out of Mya Mainord, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. The dominant performance also gave Mainord a new career-high in RBI (four). MaddieClaire Park was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.
Celeste hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 19 consecutive contests.
Five must be North Hopkins' lucky number: they beat Cooper with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Panthers walked away with a 5-2 win over the Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
Daylee Fite made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Fite was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Fite wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Stevanna Buchanan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Another was Lucy Hernandez, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Celeste pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for North Hopkins, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Celeste hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .456. However, it's not like North Hopkins struggles in that department as they've averaged .551. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Celeste was able to grind out a solid win over North Hopkins in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 8-4. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
