Baseball Recap: Master's Academy Comes Up Short

Master's Academy lost against King's Academy back in May of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Master's Academy fell just short of King's Academy by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by just one run.

Master's Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sawyer Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Smith snagged this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Master's Academy and nudges their season record down to 10-5. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for King's Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Master's Academy will square off against Sunset at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunset will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for King's Academy, they will take on ABF Academy in a tournament on Monday. ABF Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.54 runs per game on average), something King's Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
