Recap: Belleview Rattlers vs. West Port Wolf Pack
The Belleview Rattlers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 11th straight loss. They fell 56-48 to West Port. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Belleview in their matchups with West Port: they've now lost nine in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Belleview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Demarcus Mcdaniel. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcdaniel has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Brooks, who scored ten points.
Belleview's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-11. As for West Port, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Belleview won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Palatka on January 13th. Palatka has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 865 points over their last 13 matches. As for West Port, they will head out on the road to face off against Dunnellon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
