Softball Recap: Baldwin Bears vs. Germantown Academy Patriots
Baldwin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 14-11 to the Germantown Academy Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 on Monday.
Addison Milner was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Julia Baur, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Baldwin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Germantown Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baldwin will take on William Penn Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Quakers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. As for Germantown Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Hun at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
