Basketball Recap: Edgewood Warriors vs. Harvey Red Raiders

Edgewood was the 83-81 winner over Harvey when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Edgewood Warriors took a 77-58 bruising from the Harvey Red Raiders on Tuesday.

Harvey found their leader in sophomore Kam Leftwich, who went 9 of 12 on his way to 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Leftwich has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Goines, who went 5 for 7 en route to 13 points and four steals.

Edgewood has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Harvey, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgewood will challenge Conneaut at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Edgewood is facing Conneaut at the right time seeing as Conneaut is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Harvey, they will square off against Chagrin Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Harvey's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
