Wimberley is 8-1 against Canyon Lake since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wimberley Texans are taking a road trip to take on Canyon Lake at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Wimberley barely beat Davenport the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Wimberley's defense stepped up to hand Davenport a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Texans as they're now sitting on four straight.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canyon Lake). They blew past Bandera 9-1 on Tuesday. Given Canyon Lake's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Bandera is ranked 557th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Canyon Lake and bumps their season record up to 11-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those two matches. As for Wimberley, their win bumped their record up to 17-1.
