Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Mt. Eden

Mt. Eden waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 51-46 W against the Hayward Farmers. This was a revenge game for the Monarchs: when they faced off against the Farmers back in January, they had to take a 63-52 loss.

Mt. Eden's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.1 points over those games. As for Hayward, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.
