Basketball Game Preview: Johnston Panthers vs. Cranston East Thunderbolts

The Johnston Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Cranston East Thunderbolts at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Johnston is looking for their season's first win.

Johnston is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 69-55 bruising from Westerly on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Cranston East faced Pilgrim in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Cranston East took a hard 67-53 fall against Pilgrim. The Thunderbolts just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Johnston's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Cranston East, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Johnston was able to grind out a solid victory over Cranston East in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 60-48. Will Johnston repeat their success, or does Cranston East have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
