Soccer Game Preview: Saugus vs. Hart

Saugus is 0-9-1 against Hart since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Saugus Centurions will look to defend their home pitch against the Hart Hawks at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Saugus is headed into the match having not lost since December 19 and will look to keep things rolling. They and West Ranch finished up their game with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Hart had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.1 goals) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Grizzlies a 1-0 shutout. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 380th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hart's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four contests. With that draw, Saugus' record moves to 8-2-4.
