Basketball Recap: Eastpointe Takes a Loss

Eastpointe lost against Hamtramck back in March of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Sunday. The Eastpointe Shamrocks were dealt a 77-21 loss at the hands of the Hamtramck Cosmos. The game marked the Shamrocks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Eastpointe's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Hamtramck, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Eastpointe will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Haven at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Hamtramck and East Kentwood will round out the year against one another at at 4:55 p.m. on Saturday. Hamtramck knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully East Kentwood likes a good challenge.
