Softball Recap: Marshfield Comes Up Short

Marshfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Banks Braves, falling 20-2.

Marshfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Banks, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7-1 record this season.

Marshfield will challenge Marist at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least ten runs in their last eight matches. As for Banks, they will face off against Warrenton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
