Volleyball Recap: Citrus Valley Takes a Loss

Citrus Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cajon Cowboys. Blackhawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Cowboys since Tuesday.

Citrus Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-23, 25-16, 25-17.

Colette Parada paced Citrus Valley's offense, picking up 12 kills. Parada got some help from Vanessa Stallone and her 15 assists. Sophia Swogger controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Citrus Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Cajon, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 10-14.

Citrus Valley has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Beaumont on the 15th. As for Cajon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Redlands on the 15th.
