Basketball Recap: Mangum Takes a Loss

After flying high against Geronimo last Saturday, Mangum came back down to earth. The Mangum Tigers lost to the Hobart Bearcats at home by a 54-35 margin on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled against the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Mangum's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Hobart, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Mangum will head out on the road to face off against Canute at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Canute is on a six-game streak of home wins, Mangum a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Hobart, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-46 loss against Oklahoma City Knights HomeSchool on the 15th.
